Metal Detection We can provide in line throat metal or post packing detection. Throat metal detection is the ideal solution for inspecting food products packed by vertical form fill and seal packaging machines. The detector is placed between the weigher and bagging machine to inspect the in - flight product just before it enters the bag. This method of inspection is the ideal solution for checking food products normally wrapped in metallised packaging material e.g. snackfoods and confectionery. On detection of contaminants the metal detector can signal the packaging machine to stop, make a double bag or alternatively an automatic reject device can be positioned down line. The post packaging detection process would consist of an inline conveyor / meteal detector unit. Once the product has been packed by the bagging machine, it will travel along a conveyor and pass through the metal detection unit.
